New Straits Times: EITA Resources’ 60pc-Owned Unit Bags RM48mil Job From TNB

EITA Resources Bhd’s 60 per cent-owned subsidiary, TransSystem Continental Sdn Bhd (TSC) has accepted a contract worth RM47.96 million from Tenaga Nasional Bhd (TNB).

KUALA LUMPUR: EITA Resources Bhd’s 60 per cent-owned subsidiary, TransSystem Continental Sdn Bhd (TSC) has accepted a contract worth RM47.96 million from Tenaga Nasional Bhd (TNB).

The contract is for a transmission main intake (PMU) in Ayer Puteh, Perak, project according to its filing to Bursa Malaysia today.

The company said TSC’s scope of works for the contract includes supply, erect, test and commissioning of a new 132 kilovolt (kV) conventional outdoor transmission substation.

Other works include the civil, transmission lines and remote ends relay retrofits.

“The contract shall be effective from March 8, 2024 and the time for completion shall be 730 days from the commencement date,” it added.

EITA Resources said the contract will not have any material effect on the net assets and gearing of the company for the financial year ending Sept 30, 2024.

The company’ share price closed 1.6 per cent higher at 96 sen a share.
